Commissioned by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Printing (SAC/TC 170), the drafting group for the establishment and the 1st working meeting of the drafting group for the two press and publishing industry standards of "Product Quality Requirements for Metal Lithographic Printing" and "Process Control Requirements and Inspection Methods for Metal Lithographic Printing", which were prepared and formulated by the Gravure Branch of China Association of Printing Technology and Metal Container Committee of China Packaging Federation, was held in Beijing Institute of Printing on September 7 and 8, respectively.

The meeting was chaired by Ma Zhiyong, Senior Engineer of National Technical Committee for Printing Standardization, and attended by Zhang Jie, Secretary of National Technical Committee for Printing Standardization, Xu Wencai, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Printing, Cao Guorong, Secretary General of Gravure Printing Branch of China Printing Technology Association, and Zhang Hong, Secretary General of Metal Container Committee of China Packaging Federation. More than 20 experts and technicians, represented by Aurigold Packaging Company Limited and Shanghai Baosteel Packaging Company Limited, attended the meeting.

Participating experts on the formation of the drafting group and the development of standards related issues for consultation and research, identified "metal lithographic printing product quality requirements and inspection methods" news publishing industry standard drafting unit for: Orijen Packaging Co. Ltd., Fujian Unity Tinplate Co., Ltd., Suzhou Huayuan Holdings Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Zhongyue Tinplate Industry Co. Ltd, Shanghai Super Color Ink Co., Ltd, Dongguan Jingli Can Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Institute of Vocational Technology, China Packaging Federation Metal Container Committee, Beijing Institute of Printing.

Determined the "metal lithographic printing process control requirements and inspection methods" of the press and publication industry standard drafting unit for: Aorigold Packaging Company Limited, Shanghai Baosteel Packaging Company Limited, Suzhou Huayuan Holding Company Limited, Chumboon Metal Packaging Company Limited, Jiamei Food Packaging (Chuzhou) Group, Shengxing Group Company Limited, Qian'an City, Sivencode Metal Packaging Co. Zhongyue Tinplate Industry Co., Ltd, Shandong Shuangyuan Printing & Iron Canning Co., Ltd, Fujian Biaoxin Easy-open Lid Group Co., Ltd, Jintai Packaging Material Co., Ltd, Shanghai Qiaoliang Packaging Material Co.

 As one of the drafting units, our company sent two experts, Jie Guiming (second row, fifth from the right) and Tian Hongjun (third row, fifth from the right) to participate in the standard drafting meeting.

The meeting carefully studied and discussed the title, framework, and content of the press and publishing industry standard "Metal Lithographic Product Quality Requirements and Inspection Methods", and determined that the titles of the two standards would be: "Metal Lithographic Product Quality Requirements and Inspection Methods" and "Metal Lithographic Process Control Requirements and Inspection Methods" respectively.The meeting determined that the 2nd working meeting of the standard drafting group was held in mid-October 2017 in Beijing.
